Supporting Our Veterans

As a retired 18-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, I understand firsthand the importance of never leaving a fellow service member behind—on the battlefield or here at home. We must recognize the sacrifices made by these individuals in defending our freedoms.

Our nation's strength is measured not only by its military might but by how it treats its veterans. We owe these individuals a debt of gratitude that can never fully be repaid.

However, we can and must strive to provide them with the care and respect they deserve. This commitment starts with expanding programs that support the families of veterans, providing comprehensive care for those dealing with the physical and psychological aftermath of their service, and ensuring the Veterans Affairs (VA) system is fully funded and capable of delivering top-notch medical care.

I am committed to ensuring our veterans receive the highest quality of care and support as they transition to civilian life.

Addressing Specific Needs with Tailored Solutions

Our veterans face a myriad of challenges that require specific and immediate solutions:

  • Expanding the VA Caregivers Program to offer vital support to spouses and children who bear the emotional and financial burdens of their loved one's sacrifices.
  • Comprehensive Care Initiatives for veterans grappling with amputations, loss of eyesight, PTSD, and traumatic brain injuries, alongside robust efforts to combat the tragedy of veteran suicides.
  • Enhancing VA Services to eliminate wait times, increase medical staff, and introduce COVID-19 specific health services, ensuring that every veteran receives the care they have rightfully earned.
Launching Additional Initiatives for Veteran Support

My commitment extends beyond healthcare to address all facets of veteran well-being:

  • Streamlining the processing of compensation claims, offering comprehensive dental care, and putting an end to veterans' homelessness.
  • Restoring cuts to military pensions and facilitating the transition of veterans into the civilian workforce with access to good-paying jobs.
  • Advocating for a transition to a universal healthcare system, while simultaneously revitalizing the VA to offer veteran-specific programs and the flexibility to choose healthcare providers.
A Renewed Commitment to Veterans' Well-being

My platform is a testament to our nation's duty to honor and care for its veterans. By implementing these strategic measures, we not only uphold our moral obligation but also ensure that veterans receive the comprehensive support and services they need to thrive post-service. It's time to reaffirm our commitment to those who have selflessly sacrificed for our country. Together, let's ensure that our veterans receive the recognition, care, and opportunities they deserve, reflecting our nation's gratitude for their service and sacrifices.
