Patriotism – Not Partisanship

Today, we confront political divisions that might be greater than ever before in American history.  However, as fellow citizens of this country, there is also much we have in common that can bring us together.

We believe that:

  • During our campaign efforts and after, we must maintain a diverse staff that represents a wide range of political and geographical viewpoints.
  • Maintaining a civil discourse during the discussion and debating of divergent viewpoints is critical to finding solutions to the issues that challenge all Americans.
  • It is important that elected officials serve ALL the people in their district and wherever possible, beyond its borders, too.

Drafting and passing legislation is a collaborative effort and the duty of a representative to the American people. Bringing people together with diverse backgrounds and beliefs in order to find common ground and to achieve the common good is one of our patriotic duties.
